Code on the Go (CoGo™) was updated on September 22, 2026 to 26.39. 

IMPORTANT: Migrate Existing Projects to Use the New Toolchain

In release 26.38, we upgraded the CoGo toolchain. Learn about the new features.

If you install today’s release (26.39) without migrating projects built in 26.37 or earlier, those projects may fail to build. The steps to migrate projects are covered in this migration guide.

If you do not want to migrate your projects at this time, release 26.37 is still available on the download page. It is the last release that uses the old toolchain. None of the new features introduced in 26.38 and beyond are supported. We strongly recommend that you plan to migrate your existing projects soon.

NEW: Enhanced Performance Monitor

The performance monitor (visible when you swipe down at the top of a project) has been enhanced to support new features.

  • Tap the < and > buttons to move between screens.
  • Tap the legend below the graph to change the sampling rate.
  • Tap the table icon to export the content as a .csv file.
  • Tap the camera icon to send an image of the monitor screen.
  • Tap with two fingers (not a double tap) to undock and enlarge the performance monitor.

New Features and Fixes

  • Initialize Git repository in the Git panel: If a project is not a Git repository, you can now initialize it as a Git repository in the Git panel.
  • Clickable build errors (GitHub issue 1186): Build errors and warnings in the logs panel are now clickable. Tap an underlined error to go to the line of code.
  • New Java code action: The code action Extract method is now available in Java projects. Extract method moves the code you select into a new function and leaves a call to it in its place, without changing what your program does.

Introducing Knowledge to Go (K2Go™)
